Portrait of Yossi, EURECOM Alumnus: from Data Science to Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, and resilience: Yossi’s journey perfectly illustrates the diverse paths EURECOM alumni can take.

Long before founding his startup, Yossi already had a strong entrepreneurial drive. “Even before middle school, I used to barter and resell cans,” he says with a smile. An anecdote that reflects his mindset: always testing, building, and learning.

After a scientific preparatory class and a period at Télécom SudParis, he joined EURECOM to specialize in Data Science. But when he looks back on his time on campus today, it is not only the technical courses that stand out.

He remembers above all a unique international environment, meeting students from all over the world, and a more human atmosphere than what he had experienced before.

Among his best memories is organizing a chess club tournament and the joy of bringing students together around a shared passion. An experience that already reflected his taste for collective projects and initiative.

After graduating, Yossi joined Dentego, where he quickly progressed to a RPA Lead position, managing automation and artificial intelligence projects. But the desire to build something of his own never truly left him.

A few years later, he took the leap with Jordan Allemand, also an EURECOM alumnus. Together, they founded Skedul AI, a startup developing intelligent voice assistants designed to help users better organize their days and achieve their goals.

Like many entrepreneurs, they started by doing everything themselves: product development, sales prospecting, marketing, customer relations, and investor outreach.

“At the beginning, when you don’t have much means, you have to know how to do everything.”

For Yossi, the biggest challenge is not technical.

“The real challenge is mostly mental. You face a lot of rejection, and you have to learn to stay level-headed.”

Looking back on his journey, he believes that one of the most valuable skills he gained at EURECOM is his ability to evolve in a multicultural environment and communicate with very different profiles.

His advice to students and young graduates?

“Develop your emotional intelligence as much as your technical skills.”
