From Brazil to France… and now at Microsoft ! Silvana’s journey is a great example of how bold choices and adaptability can shape a career. Married at 27, she decided to move to France and go back to studies, starting a new chapter abroad, without speaking the language.

From graduation to Microsoft
Graduating during COVID wasn’t easy.
Silvana adapted her path:
→ First role as a full-stack developer in France
After two years, she decided to return to Brazil, where new opportunities quickly opened up.
→ Machine Learning Engineer in a startup
→ Today: Software Engineer at Microsoft Brazil
She now works on AI topics such as Copilot and search relevance.

Her advice to EURECOM students
“Take full advantage of your time at EURECOM. Not just academically, but personally. Learn from your professors, but also enjoy your life there. Make friends, build connections, create memories! Even today, I’m still in touch with friends from EURECOM. I had one visiting me in Rio just a few days ago!”
